Objective: Teach the class what a coach’s job is. Tell them about different coaching practices and what good coaching is versus bad coaching.
Procedure:
- Check the class’s background on sports
- Raise your hand if you played a sport
- Ask the class about significant things that tier coaches do when coaching them (in games or at practices)
- Explain the job of a coach.
- Talk about the influence of a coach on everyone around them.
- Act out how the attitude of a coach can affect everyone’s game (role playing)
- Check the class for understanding
- Do you know see what coaches may do wrong to affect the teams performance?
